Speaking at the 4th International Conference on Sustainable Circularity (ICSC), Mr Nitin Chitkara, CEO, Meta Materials Circular Markets (MMCM), said, “We are seeing significant material generation from vehicle scrappage, but the value realised is still limited due to gaps in accessibility, quality standards and traceability. Nearly half the potential value is lost across the system. Material alone is not the only value, digital assets, carbon credits and green incentives linked to circularity are equally important. Transparency must be built through traceability and market linkages. We are working on infrastructure that tracks recovered materials, supports EPR mechanisms and enables carbon credit markets. This will help build a transparent, efficient and scalable marketplace for automotive recycled materials in India.”
