Official Launch of ELV Recycling Methodology at Asia Climate Summit 2025

Developed by Meta Materials Circular Markets and reviewed by Cercarbono’s technical team and a third party, this methodology enables credit generation from the structured dismantling and recycling of ferrous and non ferrous metals, plastics and glass from scrapped vehicles.

This methodology introduces a climate solution rooted in circularity and equity. It enables carbon finance for regulated recycling systems, supports environmental compliance, and helps reduce emissions by substituting virgin materials with certified recycled inputs.

The initiative is also expected to support national ELV scrapping policies and unlock up to 120 million USD in carbon finance over the next decade.
