Keeping in view the adverse impact of Plastic Waste on both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems and in line with India’s commitments in the 4th United Nations Environment Assembly held in 2019 MMCM has come up with an integrated approach to tracing plastic scrap enabling hassle-free price discovery and trade empowering the plastic recycling industry.

The Pollution Control Board recorded a massive 3.47 MM tonnes of plastic waste generation in India in 2020. With GDP growth in per capita plastic consumption estimated at 25% annual growth it has now been envisaged that a comprehensive solution that defines an explicable EPR needs to be put in frame.

Producer-funded systems tend to be better-financed, managed and are therefore more resilient in down markets. In an EPR system, the risk of down or collapsed markets is on industry, not on communities. Keeping this in mind, MMCM has collated multiple stakeholders in the downstream and the upstream channels to ensure that our platform serves the interests that affect horizontally and vertically through the system.
